I don't see that off duty cops have any more rights against after hours interactions with citizens any more than Little league baseball umpires, or anybody else that serves the public.

There is always going to be some body mad at whoever. Don't like it? get a job out of the public eye. There are always choices.

We don't need laws to dictate public choices.
