Reloader 15 is what I have been told the military uses in the m855 and their .308 round. I don't have time for chronographs and all that to compare different powders but I can tell you that I mostly use R15 and the bullets go where I want them to (most of the time...).

Win 748 not the cleanest burning powder around but in my .223 it's the most accurate I've tried. Have used in .243 and .308 with decent results. Prefer other powders but have a bunch so ill load it till I use most of it. Meters very well.

I switched from Varget to CFE-223 for its ability to meter. So far, it is working as advertised. Accurate, meters well, clean burning and yes, actually keeps the barrel clean. I'm sold.

I use a Lyman 1200 powder measure/scale so I don't have to worry about how Varget meters. Of all the different loads I've worked up I've gotten the best accuracy using Varget in both .223 and .308. I've got 1/2 dozen AR-15s and 4 .308s and they all have sweet spots with Varget.
