Here's a few that I recommend:

Buck Hood Hoodlum
Beast of a blade. Love it!

Ka-Bar Becker BK9
Pretty awesome blade. As expected very heavy duty. Can handle most outdoor task without being overly large like a small machete.

ESEE Izula
Great for finer work, or for lightweight carry.

ESEE-6
One solid knife. Ended up selling it. Not a knock on the blade I was just thinning the herd a bit.

Buck 119 Special
Incredible value and one hell of a knife. I've beaten the hell out of mine (for over 10 years now) and it's still going strong. Love the smallish size but with a bowie style blade.

Ontario Air Force Survival
Another excellent value. Solid knife. I do prefer the Buck 119 over this one.

There are a ton of excellent blades out there in this category.
