Was just reading about that. 450 car parking lot where the fees go to the Obama Foundation instead of to the community. It being built next to the University and something else so there is no space for restaurants or shops to be built to support the community etc

The second presidential library is here, in my hometown of Independence, MO. And it employed 11 people when it opened.

The Harry S. Truman Library, the first Presidential Library to be created under the provisions of the 1955 Presidential Libraries Act, was established to preserve the papers, books, and other historical materials relating to former President Harry S. Truman and to make them available to the people in a place suitable for exhibit and research. The Library building, which cost $1,750,000, was built by the Harry S. Truman Library Inc., a private corporation, with funds donated by more than 17,000 individuals and organizations from all parts of the country.

Adjusting for inflation that would be $15,000,000 today. But it was still all privately funded. Obama's library is estimated to cost $500,000,000...before cost over runs. The convoluted double-speak I've come across on the funding of Obama's is almost impossible to figure out. I have read where they expect the state of Illinois to kick in $100,000,000. The one thing that is clear, taxpayers foot the bill to run the place after it's built. Even though Obama has obtained permission to break away from the National Archives running the place so he can put even more spin to his propaganda palace.

Oh, and it will all be electronic documents. No storage of real documents will be on the grounds. Then, what's the point? We all have internet access. Why even have a "library"?
