Some loads that are at max book load and even a tick under that can blow the case out just like that.
How?
A chamber that is not fully supported can cause it.
I have seen it play out just like that.
The ammo worked great in other brands of handguns but this one that did not have a fully supported chamber would puke it's guts out like the above pic and blow the magazine out of the weapon.

Where is the line drawn for reloading for weapons like this?
I say you should really work up a load slowly and make darn sure the weights are spot on and
do not go mixing different cases during testing.
All cases are not built the same.

I do not own any weapons with a chamber that does not fully support by case.
I will not purchase one either.. just a bad idea in my mind.
There is not reason for it so why did they make them that way ???

You can read in reloading books where certain firearms are singled out as to not use this load data for them.
I am not brand loyal at all but if I was I still would toss stones at a chamber that is like the above.
