Trade one on a 442 or 642. Lighter is better for pocket carry. I really like my 340 but I don’t think the price difference between it and the 442 is worth it. Hammerless is definitely a benefit for pocket carry.

Ruger LCR 38. Lighter than the Smith. If memory serves.

Definitely no hammer.
I think the Ruger LCR in .357, because it weighs just a touch more, is easier on the hand even with .38 Special loads.
That's just my judgment.
And unfortunately I've seen the .357 model with a higher asking price too.

I pocket carried a 640 for a few years and it was very comfortable for me. I just wanted more capacity so I switched to semi-auto for EDC.

Over on Guns Oklahoma Classifieds, I have this paper weight no hammer +P gun for sale. Collectors quality unfired in the factory box. S&W Performance Center 637-2 Wyatt Deep Cover. Scandium sure is light. Thinking about keeping it.
