Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't Lake City mil-surp brass thicker, and thus has a ever-so-slightly smaller case capacity? Obviously what is lacking in capacity is made up for in strength.
From what I've read on 6mmbr.com the 308 LC has a lower ICC than commercial 308 brass. On the other hand the 5.56 LC brass has a higher ICC than some commercial 223 Rem brass. I assume that all this can very depending on specific lots or years of production.
