Remington 700 SPS Tactical .308 - accuracy out of the box

I love B&C stocks - but due to cost I might do another Boyds tacticool build like I did on my Savage (stress free pillar bedding and maybe doing PTG DBM at the same time).

I've never looked into the PTG DBM kit before. Very nice price. I've considered a CDI kit and I always wanted to try a Surgeon kit. I've only ran the Wyatt on one of my builds. I didn't really care for it.

I have a 700 AAC-SD in .308 and I have seen the same results with mine shooting factory loads. Mine liked the 150gr hornady interbond the best.

I have the same rifle, but I have not had the chance to set it up yet. I am going to go with a McCree Precision Chassis. I noticed you mentioned the PTG Bottom metal. They are on sale for $75, right now.

K back to the thread.....I saw one of these on Armslist for cheap a couple days ago. Buying one and playing with it to see what/how I can customize it is definitely on my short list. It makes me sad to say Ive only ever owned one rifle that wasn't an AR and that was a hand me down. So are the Rem 700s and the Savage (can't remember the popular series) on a level playing field, or is one better or more customizable than the other?
