I wonder if the State of Oklahoma acted like the state of Colorado and legalized machine guns say made in the state of Oklahoma and only for its residents while living here. You couldn't take it with you if you moved out of state.

Montana did something like that several years ago. The law basically said that any firearm made in Montana and did not cross state lines is not subject to federal regulation. Haven't followed up to see if it survived or anyone has used it or challenged it.

They love to claim the interstate commerce thing which precludes you from doin that.
For instance. Since the aluminum was not mined and processed here in oklahoma, there will never be a true "Oklahoma" AR15.
Dont you just love how the rules are what they say they are !

It's more than that; since Wickard v. Filburn and Raich v. Gonzales, even if it were constructed entirely of raw materials found on your own property, it can still be said to affect interstate commerce.

The former was a farming case; for the latter, you can thank the drug warriors.

Yeah, they had to add a couple of definitions to the word "regulate" that didn't exist when the Constitution was written. Some court along the way added "limit" and "prohibit" to how they define "regulate" in order to "legitimize" some of the more egregious laws Congress created to usurp power for the Feral Government. As far as our gun rights go, the Court and Congress have simply ignored the Second Amendment or have tried to limit its scope by declaring that certain arms are not arms or that only a state militia has a right to arms.

The word militia refered to the people at that time. Even in the constitution the words militia and military appear side by side in the same sentance, not to mention the constitution was written many many years before the national guard was ever thought about.
The gubment knows NOBOBY has read the constitution much less owns a copy and they can twist it without being cought. That is how we got to where we are today!
