Retired and living the good life!

Spent 29 years in law enforcement and finally retired six weeks ago. Still wake up between six and seven, brew a pot of coffee and sit on the back porch where I can be a keyboard warrior. With the politics and the world in the shape it is, I will have plenty to do. [emoji4]

Recently, the big boys have started coming out to tease me. About spilt coffee in my lap when they first showed up. They do this every year. Come season, they go into hiding. This year, I have time to hunt again, yea!

I was Federal also. I was really blessed and able to start at 21 years old which let me retire at 50 years old. Hopefully lots of time left with my elderly parents.

Life can change fast. I lost my in-laws, my dad and brother in the last eight years. Enjoy them while you can.

21+ years USMC, then second career in Higher Ed here in Oklahoma, retired from that little over 2 years ago. Wife retired from Cox Communications. Plus we both draw SSN benefits. That's 5 retirement checks. Best way to make a living yet! I have finally got to the point where I can sleep in, don't wear a watch. and could care less what day it is.
You guys still working: Keep at it. We retired guys need people to work to provide goods and services to us.
