Don't be intimidated with the takedown for cleaning. There are quit a few instructional videos to help as well as forum members. Once you get the steps down, it's pretty easy. I think people get stuck, the most, when they don't have the pistol in the correct orientation during reassemby. Pay particular attention to when the pistol has to be pointed down and when it has to be pointed up.
