Ruger 22/45 pin coming out.

I have an older Ruger 22/45 and after about 30 to 50 rounds the pin in the attached picture migrates out to the right side. No problem to tap it back in. Would it be advisable to put a drop of blue locktite on each side after spraying with a polymer safe gun scrubber then pushing it back in place? I know you can't use locktite around motorcycle windshield screws because it can affect the plastic windshield but think the Polymer frame is much more resistant to chemicals.

Pins spontaneously walking are often a sign of other issues. I'd try to determine the cause first, before applying a band-aid.
Wear, incorrect assembly, and part failure are common causes.


Is that the Hammer Pivot pin?

If so this may help. (Not sure what MK your 22/45 is)

Thanks. It is a MK II about 25 years old. This is the first time I have shot it. So far about 200 rounds through it. It's not the trigger hinge pin, it is way back by the rear sight.

Take it out and flip it, reinsert
