It all depends on how hot the fire got!!! Because it might changed the hardness in the metal of the rifle. It could've gotten brittle, it could've gotten outta spec??? Do you have more details?

If there's still a stock on it, 99% sure the metal is fine. You have to get around 700 or so IIRC, before the metal will soften; at which point any stock material (short of Kevlar or carbon fiber) will be either gone, or at least completely destroyed.

I would still recommend taking it to a 'smith first.

And while you are at the 'smith, get them to weigh the trigger. These are infamous for heavy triggers. Mine is around ten pounds, and is going to get an aftermarket trigger. CB
