I recently was given this pistol by a family member. It had been stored in a cloth zippered gun case on a concrete floor under a shelf for over 25 years. Take a look at the pics. I realize that the gun drew moisture, but what can anyone tell me about the way the frame looks to be “eaten away” in places?
The rails and slide are fine and I believe nothing is wrong with the actual functionality of the gun.
Thanks.

I would be careful shooting it the first times just to be safe but other than that, I agree with GED. At least you have a great truck gun.

I would pull the slide off to get a good look at the frame and slide and rails and post pics. I know you already looked at them, but take a good, close, look again.

If those are actually fine, you've got a great truck/camping/field gun. Sad to see it in that condition, happy it will probably still be a useful gun with a purpose.
