Savage 16 lightweight hunter

What is everyones thoughts... chambered in 7mm08. The bare gun is 5.5 lbs. Scoped would be under 6.5. What would recoil be like?

I find very little negative about the gun and savages in general. Not that I need a lightweight rifle...but.....the regular model 16 only comes in a package and I don' need the scope.

Recoil is not bad.
I shoot a .260Rem with 120-140 gr bullets. The 7-08 has 139gr. Identical recoil. My 11yo grandson shoots mine.

I recently picked up one in 6.5. Waiting on Vortex to get their new process finished so I can get my Razor HD LH on it, so it hasn't been shot yet. I figured it might have a little kick, but mine will be suppressed 99% of the time.
