I agree with you completely. I love my 10-6. Definitely my favorite handgun.

They're great revolvers, which may be an understatement for a firearm that's been in continuous production for 111 years!
To quote a very knowledgeable and respected S&W collector; "Their everything you need and nothing you don't."

I have a model 10 M&P manufactured in 1914. Its about a foot from me as we speak.

After further study, the above pics are of the K22 masterpiece.
Below is the M&P
. The M&P has combat history.

thats an old one, also dont forget the model 12 and 13, the 13 is just a .357 chambered model 10 heavy barrel, i have a 1975 vintage 13-1 thats possibly a NYSP gun but it looks way too nice to be some officers carry gun

Here is a 5" 1946 postwar transitional M&P I picked up Saturday. It is about 99% and appears to be unfired; the best part is, it's wearing number matching prewar Magna's, which caused a little stir on the "Blue Board"!
Sorry for my poor photography skills; I'm still learning who to use my new camera and post pictures here. These photo's were taken before it was cleaned, wiped and preserved for storage.
