It's the little wins my friend, I married a "socialist" but she is getting better! Matter of fact I even got her to carry pistol into a place that had a no firearms sign, rather than leave it in the car for a wayward "undocumented shopper" to find. it's all little steps!

Mine says her Sig P-938 is "too heavy to carry" and can't tell me where it's located at any given time unless I let her know it's going to be moved and give up the location.
We have a heavy burden to hold. LOL!

I imagine all these businesses that were trashed will move out from the inner core eventually, which will just create more blight and impact all the beautification efforts that were being made to OKC downtown. When this happens on a regular basis, downtown becomes a slum with high insurance premiums. SMH.

Yeah. You missed it. The posts were removed. But another member thought it would be clever to circumvent the profanity filter and post a slang term that means that has been used in the same vein. Some people have never heard it before.....others have. Those that have know exactly what it means and who it’s being used to refer to.

The pics were posted as well but probably have been removed. Offensive is one thing.....there plenty of that here. Blackface is not simply offensive.

Can’t say that I’m being overly sensitive.
Cants say that I’m easily offended.
I’ve been here for several years and have seen, read, heard a whole lot of opinions & posts.....a lot. It’s very clear that not everyone in the forum agrees on everything. That’s ok.

What’s not ok is blatant racism.

I’ve never defended criminals or criminal activity - but because I have an issue with racial epithets being slung around, I’m viewed as a supporter of the riots.

No matter have many times I state or uphold conservative views - I get labeled a liberal because I take issue with blatant racism.

This country is being torn apart and the only thing that some people have to offer in this crisis is more hate...and they call themselves patriots.

There are peaceful protests.
There are riots.
These are not the same and are not of the same people or mindset.
Neither are of one color.

Explain to me how people can be against a peaceful protest, be against a violent protest, but take no issue with the thing that causes people to protest.

I watched until about 10:30, my take was the trouble was caused not by BLM but by others who were there just to be rowdy.

After the police fired some rubber bullets channel 9 talked with a young white girl who was freaking out because the police shot her friend and her friend's hand was wounded; real life hits hard some times, stupid games and prizes ya know.

Early on, still daylight, the copter pilot said he was communicating with the police copters and they already had their eyes on a few in the crowd that fit the antifa profile.

Just had a thought; watching the mob is like twitter just became real. A lot of different attitudes, some more extreme, some just to make trouble. Kudos to the ones who were trying to keep it peaceful.

This morning BLM said they're having a cleanup event sometime later today, good for them. My opinion of BLM is changing after seeing them in these OKC events this weekend. They seem to really be wanting non-violent protest.

Yup. Holt should have made it a city-wide curfew. OKCPD will be up all night and tomorrow is Monday morning and people are supposed to go to work.

I wonder how many “protesters” are at work this morning.

Serious question if there are any black people reading this. I asked a friend of mine and he didn’t want to answer. Why is it ok for a black person to call another black person a MF N when a white person who does is it is racist? I think the word shouldn’t be used at all. Anyone?
