I haven't bought .22lr in a long while. Last time I bought any was at walmart probably 3 years ago, and i think i bought about 3000 rounds...

peanut says its not a bad price, but that seems quite high to me. have i been out of the loop too long or what?

I understand there's a rush for everything now and a shortage, but is this a normal price for .22?

Seems a bit high to me at .0500 dollars a round. Cabelas had 2100 rounds plus a new ammo can for around $90 or .0450 dollars a round last week. I think 3-4.5 cents a round is still the going federal bulk rate, but no place has any in stock.

$25.00 per 500 for Eley primed .22LR isn't bad in today's economy. You could probably sell it for quite a bit more on the street. This isn't your average bulk pack ammo in terms of quality.

I was coming up with $272 shipped divided by 5000 rounds = $.0.0544n not including tax

I was thinking the last stuff I bought was around $0.035 or so...

I've never heard of Eley...I wouldnt have known if it was any good or not...

Eley is some very nice stuff. The problem is SGAmmo is we get stuck with shipping and tax... :-( I like the copper jacketed stuff better, but after shooting this stuff for 4 years, I've been very pleased. I'm sure it is on the uptick with price, but everything on SGAmmo is higher, but not as high as many other places...
