I like that pic, as several years ago, during MZ season, I encountered the same situation. 8 point white tail was fully mounted on a doe, and I shot him, high shoulder. He dropped without a quiver, and the doe ran off to about 200 yds.

I reloaded the MZ while she was looking at me, and then just sat there. She wandered back in and I shot her as it was the last day of season. 3/4 mile of drag for each across 2 creek bottoms taught me to never do that again.

Don't shoot. He is distracted so stalking closer will get you closer & a better shot opportunity.
