No, not the 516, but a 716 chambered in 308. Acquaintence who works for Sig said the big wigs mentioned it at the SHOT Show last week. He doesn't know what mags it will take, would be nice if it will use M14 or FAL mags. Also, he said the first 516's will go to LEO's and some will go to the military.

That would be nice. The 516 looks pretty good and should come in cheaper than the ruger 556. I just hope it doesnt take as long as the 522 to release to the public.

I agree, took 5 or 6 months longer than I was originally told on the 522. Per the Sig friend, the 516 will be about the same MSRP as the 556.
