New to casting so bare with me please. I am casting bullets for my 300 blackout. Ive seen some people use .308 and some use .309 dies. I looked on the web and I cand find the answer. How do I correctly identify which sizer fit my needs?
I am going to slug the bore to see. I bought a 308 die as I assumed that was the right one but have since learned it may not be.
If your bullets are powder coated and not super hard they will bump up and no leading will occur.
Try it and see is what i say.
Some of my 45's have .001" groove diameter larger than I can make my bullets.
Good accuracy way out.

One of the biggest mistakes you can make is to shoot an undersized lead slug down your bore. I learned that lesson the hard way.
