OK... I'll admit it. I've grown fond of catching crickets and mayflies and grasshoppers and throwing them to the little chickens. Technically, I'm not killing them. The chickens are.
Bet you have great eggs.
Our free range chicken egg supplier got too old and had to move to town. Insect/grass ingestion makes the best eggs vs the chemical feed.

We'll see... They're only a month old. I hope to start slowly letting them out of the coop/pen in a few weeks. Probably start with the guineas...they're a little older.
Was in Tractor Supply today. Lots of young chicks. I was tempted, and always wanted to have them, but we don't have a schedule that would allow keeping them.
