...Colorado does have rattlesnakes. I'm not an expert on them, but there is also a breed of rattler called a "Timber Rattlesnake."

Timbers are what I'm used to, having moved here from GA. We grow them big. I think they are the rattler with the widest habitat range in the US. This one was right at 5 feet long. 19 rattles. Midsection was as big around as my forearm.

He (or maybe was a she) was tasty, too.
