Picked up two 7/8 full buckets of wheel weights, as collected by the shop. Will be mix of clip on lead and Zn, stick on lead, Zn and steel. I have a post where I hand sorted 220 pounds of lead from the same shop back in 2021. This is the breakdown then and I would expect this batch to be similar.
made it thru sorting 220 lbs of purchased tire shop weights, 1 and a half 5 gallon buckets. breakdown as follows
lead WW clip on. 50%
flat wheel weights pure lead 16%
Zinc clip on. 5%
steel and misc. 28%
$65 for 220 or $35 per 110. If you end up with 60 pounds from 110 bucket of lead, that's about $0.32 per pound. The lead is now in 4 of my buckets. Bring your own containers or $5 a bucket to replace from Lowes.
