STEEL CALLANGE 22lr

What do you recommend for a 22lr for steel challange? I have a 4" mk3 22/45 fixed sights but was thinking going to a 5.5" 22/45 with and sights or putting a tacsol brl. On it.

I'd go shoot a match with what you have and then decide. You'll probably find someone shooting something with a longer barrel that will let you run a few rounds through. But as we all know, the longer sight radius is an advantage.

I felt a 22/45 with tacsol brl and it was so light. I'm going to save up and put one on that 4.5", they are so awsome.

You could shoot a revolver. I do and usually end up winning because I'm the only one. Really though its fun with 6 shooter. You can only miss once so it adds a little more challenge to the steel challenge.

The TacSl barrel on a Ruger with a good trigger job is an excelent choice. another excellent choice is a S&W Model 41. I shoot a Marvel 22 conversion unit on a 1911 frame with a 2 lb. trigger.
