I would like to find somewhere to source steel for fabrication in the Edmond area. I do t need tons of stuff, but I have a few projects that I’m looking to complete and would like a reasonably priced place that I can go. Who do you guys use?

Edmond is short on products like that. Smith equipment west of Whataburger by the tracks is about your only option. He’s a fabricator and has some product on hand but orders most of it by the job. If he has to get it from Albright or Allied, he’ll surcharge you 40%.

I went to Interstate in Tulsa to find some drops. I walked around with a worker and found what they had at the time which was about 40 ft of different sizes of square tubing. We got back to the loading dock and I asked him how much. He said what did I think it was worth. I said 20 bucks, he says how about 25 bucks, deal!

I gave him $25 plus some dollar bill stragglers I had in my wallet for a tip.

And I built this and had some left over:

You have the Railroad yard south of Stillwater.

Given what others have posted and my dated knowledge of the subject in the OKC metro, this may be your best answer without going to a regular supply house and having to deal with longer lengths than most can easily transport.

One of the things i've always enjoyed about Metal Supermarkets has been the big Vaseline dispenser right outside the front door. I mean at least they warn you before you get inside.
