An alligator caused a lot of commotion for one Independence man Sunday when three Independence police officers shot at his concrete lawn ornament.

Concrete alligators can actually be quite dangerous...(if you shoot at them and bullets ricochet or chunks of concrete fly off and hit someone.)

Certainly this can't be the whole story here, right?
