Whatever involvement that Obama has in helping these terrorist people, I hope it hurts him. Unless of course Obama wants to be hurt politically, in that case I would like for the opposite of whatever it is that Obama wants. Amen.

Obummer doesn't give a crap what we think. We can't do a dammed thing about this, and he knows it.

Give to his muslim friends, support the take-over by the muslim brotherhood, appoint who he wants in office, and then send crowd control specialist to support the regime.

amazing......

I wrote recently about how I thought if we could find the right kind of groups within the rebels we could support them. But now I am truly concerned that, even if we can identify some acceptable sub-group, we have no way to ensure that when all is said and done we won't simply have by-proxy armed our worst nightmares who will simply take whatever we provide from our "allies" and use it for themselves.

Really, when it comes down to it, ain't that the truth, in a nutshell?

Shouldn't we let Allah and the Syrians sort it out?

replace 2013 with 1980, replace Syrian rebels with Mujahideen, bake on high for 10 years and replace Osama Bin Ladin with...

We don't seem to want to learn this lesson the easy way.

Some of you talk (type) as if it is always a foregone conclusion that supporting any side in any conflict is either wrong or guaranteed to produce negative results - neither proposition is correct. There are many examples of one nation successfully and fruitfully supporting an insurrection - the closest example to home might be France supporting the American colonies' revolution against England. I understand that this cuts both ways but that is why we have to do a detailed analysis in each case vice using lofty language and broad principles to justify set-piece answers.

Except for the Franco-American Naval War that followed a few years later. :D

And for the record, the US did not arm or fund Osama. That is a myth put out by those that should know better then to lie for political gain. Even Osama himself denied it and he would have loved to embarrass the US.
