I would think that a lot of employees at the ATF would be against rule changes to make it harder to acquire NFA items. If it gets too hard to get an NFA item there would be a lot less applications to process. Less applications means less employees are needed. For job security's sake, they should look at what harder requirements would mean for them personally. Has anyone seen any statistics of what percentage of violent crimes are committed with legally-owned NFA items?

That is quite a long proposal. Read it all and sure covers a lot. Hope it does not go through. In the mean time here is a link to comments that others have written. I am sure there are a lot of people with trusts so there should be a lot written responses. If you have not done so please do. This will help not only those with trusts but the dealers who sell NFA items. It will impact all of us.

Here is another link for where you go to write a response. Now that you have read others it may be easier to intelligently write a great response. Just do it.

I posted earlier but as you say all NFA interested people should post. It may not be just what is written but the numbers of replies received. 1100 out of 120,000 applications is less than 1%. Terrible results.
