Heck I like it.

As far as battery costs go, yes they are expensive but so are some of the engines for current vehicles. The new Tundras engine for example can cost $30,000 or more to replace. The engine is $18800. With the parts is $19k. Everything else is labor.

A co workers dropped almost $12,000 on a crate hemi engine for his wifes Dodge Ram.

Another friend dropped $8,000 into a replacement crate engine for a 2006 F150.
Bottom line one pays for a vehicle in many different ways. I still like ICE, 0 range anxiety, temperature does not effect range, towing has a small effect on range. Also if power goes out, fewer worries. I can refuel my ICE much faster, and one cannot carry a can of electricity if you run out of juice.

Ugly in person but you also can’t stop looking at it. I’m sure they get more attention than a Ferrari and one of the most unique cars in all of history.

Definitely not for the poors as mentioned though.
