The worst tourist trap in every state,,,
That was the click-bait headline on MSN News a minute ago.

So I clicked on it and for Oklahoma it was,,,
The J. M. Davis Gun Museum.

Can you believe that?

Here's the blurb it ran:
OKLAHOMA: J. M. Davis Arms & Historical Museum
A majority of the ~50,000 artifacts in the museum are firearms from a private collection that dates back to the 14th century. The West might have been wild, but this glorified gun museum is wilder.

I guess with the lack of truth in journalism this actually fits,,,
All I could do was laugh.

We had a breakfast meet and greet then went to the museum. It was a good time. Thanks to dennishoddy for putting that together. I’ll go again if someone wants to set something up. There’s probably a dozen isles I missed!

Yup it was a good time @dlbleak. I'm pretty sure I misssed one hole corner and I'm positive I overlooked quite a few guns. There were just too many too close together. It all just kinda blended together. It was like one of those where's Waldo pictures I saw as a kid.

I suppose if you’re affiliated with MSN or other sham media trying to push a narrative, then I’d say it’s on par for them. I will say though, the place is sensory overload even for a gun guy!
I was there many years ago, probably 1990 or so. I have to agree with the overload part.

After awhile, they all blur together.

I would certainly go again, it's been too long.

Next time start at the back and work toward the front.
Starting from the front you get about halfway through and sensory overload takes over.
It’s like Wanamaker. We always start on the top and go to the bottom, but we never make the bottom level because we are burnt out and leg weary before getting there.
