Plan was to try and mix a stain color into it and roll it on my fence.
I will also try it on a cut and sanded cedar piece and see if it works better than Varathane

Supposed to use Diesel and used motor oil. Used Diesel oil works better as it provides a darker stain.

Great way to recycle your car, truck and mower oil. 100+ year old farmers trick. Works great at my house.

I made the mistake of buying some of the "new improved" California compliant Thompsons last year. What a waste. Thick white gooie paste that would not hardly spray out of a pump up garden sprayer. I stopped half project. That half of my deck is not much better in the rain than the 4 year older wood that was sprayed with the old stuff. After using Thompsons for 50 years, Never Again.
