Just out of curiosity, Dennis, does your post count actually go up?
Reason I ask, is that on my Smugmug account, they provide statistics to me as to how many image views there are, how many images I've uploaded, and how much in gigabytes I have used. At present, and it has been the same for months regardless of how many photos I've uploaded since, it still reads that I have used 199.51 gigabytes.
I just wondered that if a person reached a certain "level" here at OSA, that maybe they just quit counting.
To be honest, I've not looked at it in a long time until this thread started so I don't have an answer to your question.
To me it doesn't matter how many posts you have to be a reputable member of this forum. I've seen folks with a hundred posts that I've thought were well thought out and posted with good intentions. They enter into my "good folks" list.
If the post count went away today, it wouldn't bother me in the least, but it does give new members some sort of idea who has been around for awhile and not just a fly by poster looking to sell something without contributing to the heart of this forum which is firearms and related outdoor subjects.
The core members of this forum are IMHO some of the greatest people imaginable. They offer great advice and go out of their way to provide real help.
They offer to help another member that may be down and out, and a whole list of things that go on behind the scenes done silently without need for fanfare.
I just hope it continues on this way.
