Yep, most folks don't really understand the consequences of losing that war. Consolidation under federal authority is exactly what it was about, and what we've seen since is the result of it. Whether it's education, prisons, free assembly, seat belts...it's all subject to the Central Power.

Finally coming to a head now, perhaps the Balkanization can occur, and we'll re-set again. I'm cool with it.

Yup...and so many are cheering for that federal authority now that "their guy" is in the seat....when they were previously railing against the same federal authority when someone else's guy was in the seat. I never would have imagined people here calling for, nay, demanding, the deployment of U.S. military troops against U.S. citizens.

It sure does feel like Balkanization is closer than ever. The problem is I'm largely disgusted by most of the groups who are screaming the loudest, so I have no idea where I'd land.

Where'd all the patriots go?

Most of them usually just type about it a lot....they have no intention of actually doing anything. I'm pretty sure there are groups already out there that you can reach out to.

It seems like any effort to organize would be shut down by media and big tech.
The remove a lot of conservative stuff as it is.
I would guess organizing any rallies to resist the left would be shut down, communication would be difficult.

Then again, there was the Tea Party, but things have changed a lot since then.

Not so much shut down by media and big tech, but certainly made more difficult. The problem with organizing rallies and marches and such is that most folks who you are talking about are the working middle class of America. We don't have time for counter protests on the scale that would be required to stop the ridiculousness out there. We have jobs, kids etc...and so much of what we see on T.V. is just that, on T.V.. It hasn't affected us enough for us to make the sacrifices required to do it.

Organizing an event like that takes leadership, organizational skill, determination, drive....and money. The alphabet soup of left (there isn't one left) and anarchist groups out there have all that and are good at it. Creating something similar will not happen overnight. Unfortunately some of the counter-groups that do exist and have some of that infrastructure in place are just as distasteful as the left.

Sometimes I think it would be great to see another version of the Hard Hat Riots of 1970 where the optics made it appear that a bunch of fed up blue collar construction workers showed up to stomp some hippie a##....but then you realize it was all a pro-Nixon stunt, cooked up in the White House, organized by the AFL-CIO. Not as grass roots as it appeared at first light.

Just as some of what we see today could very well be cooked up stunts, as well as the reaction to said stunts...Nothing is real.

Very true and there are some incredibly condescending members here that must be naive to that because they keep calling out people for not openly posting about joining movements that may or may not be out there that they may or may not be members of.
I guess he would be satisfied if a dozen militia members posted openly about training exercises, tactics and so on like the libs on falsebook do so he could be condescending to them as well.
If you are a member of some organization you keep your mouth shut about it.

First, I'm not looking to "recruit" anyone, for anything. I'd just like to see a casual local network of like minded folks that
would be interested in discussing and planning for the all but inevitable assaults against us .... from a purely a defensive
posture. Last thing I would be interested in doing is going out and counter protesting and raisin' hell in the streets. That's
for the kids, but self defense has to start somewhere. Anyone that thinks they can go-it-alone is doomed. And if folks
out there are already involved in a "good" group of some kind, good on ya.
If I was into the militia thing, I'd be there, but not really my cup o tea.

I'm sorry, but if you fly that flag, I won't be associating with you (or any organization in which you are tolerated doing so). Just my stance. No matter what you say or believe, that flag is, whether you like it or not, associated, and has been for over 150 years, associated with slavery. People who know this, and say they don't care - well, they just don't care.

Our situation here is starting to remind me of the middle-east. There's so many factions, groups, etc. They want some of the same things, but not everything the same. Where in the world would you start to know how to even get folks sorted to determine what I/you/we should utilize to 'fix' things? Seems like the USA is one big CF where everybody is fighting everybody.
