Considering trading a rifle for a 4” S&W 625-3. At least I think it is a -3. No box, no moon clips, aftermarket grips and factory grips are long gone. I know missing the box and original grips affect the value a good bit. I am thinking it is worth around $800 maybe more but really don’t have any idea.

What rifle are you thinking of trading? The 625’s go off in some tangents after the lock.
Lock or no lock? That is the question.

If it's not beat up, and it is a 625-3 (pre-lock), it's worth $800. Find some 45 auto rim brass and load some up, you won't regret it.

Good info. Grabbed the book and looks like -3 is 1990. Depending on the rifle you’re trading. The revolver would be a cool gun.

Wilson Combat used to sell moon clips for pretty cheap. You can also shoot them without clips because they headspace on the case mouth like they are supposed to. But reloading needs to be done on your lunch break!

I am considering trading a Polish Tantal with two magazines, bipod and bayonet. Basically swapping these two.

While trying to figure out a value I perused Gunbroker and found anywhere from 4-10 moon clips for about $12-$15. So not to bad for the convenience.

Who built the tantal and what reciever and barrel? Makes a bit of difference in value. I would say no just because of what they always put on the "evil" list and the price whenever one is brought out.

So many folks don't use a price guide im not one of those folks. I subscribe to two different gun price guides and have been collecting for almost 40 years and have lived by this for quite a few years. Here is a current price on your pistol.
