Trijicon or Trintium?
How old are the sights? Tritium (which is what powers the luminous dots) has a half-life of about 12 years, meaning they'll only be half their original brightness in 12 years, a quarter of the original brightness after 24 years, one eighth after 36 years, etc.

It's hard to see in the image, but it looks like they're dated 11/2001. Which would indicate that they are well past the 12 year half life of the tritium inside. So I'd expect them to be pretty dim.
If you still want glow-in-the-dark sights you're going to have to replace them with a fresh set (Trijicon, Meprolight, or whatever floats your boat).

I had Trijicon sights put on a 1911, 25 years ago. They are not as bright as they were, but still usable as my bedside gun.
They fixed sights were way off and wanted adjustable. Decided to get the Trijicon adjustable. Love them, but will probably never replace them.
