I didn't even know the CBP was allowed to arrest anyone anymore. I thought they just processed asylum request paperwork.

CBP only grabs the illegal immigrants. They hand them off to (IIRC) ICE for processing.

Amazing how "upward mobility" for those that fail yet hold a special place in our society get promoted into management positions. Saw it all the time.
