My takeaway from that segment is that Booker is an idiot and a liar.

The NJ Mayor was untruthful and the format allowed him to keep spouting his untruths without rebuttal. But the whole attitude of the discussion was annoying.

The basic message I heard was "Any gun control method is great" but on the other hand "nobody wants to take guns away from honest citizens." Harris thinks that you should have training equivalent to pilot's license in order to own a gun. How are poor people to defend themselves then? Clearly a bunch of out of touch elitists, Harris included.

It was very interesting to see how a liberal (Sam Harris) presents facts about how few deaths are caused by rifles and how many aspects of the liberal viewpoint on gun control is a “fantasy” (like Feinstein’s list of 157 scary guns) but the mayor won’t have any of it. Of course he can’t since he is considering running for President.

I'm shocked that Maher stumbled into something resembling the truth. Sounded like an advocate of removing gun free zones. Where they are all off is treating the 2A like the ultimate privilege reserved for the few. The fact remains the the 2A is a right just as the right to free speech and due process are a right. They cannot and should not ever be considered privileges granted by the state.
