Here’s a little more about the band from my post on Facebook. My dad was a police officer and I’ve had several thin blue line duck calls made in his memory. I collect duck calls and bring some of these out for special occasions

Great pics! Always wanted to sea duck hunt. That dark headed bird is a Brant goose, is that correct? Used to get Wildfowl magazine and the floating layout hunting looked like quite the experience.

Yes sir, that is a brant. They are fantastic table fare as their primary source of food is eel grass. Cooked these up the day after we shot them.

Hunted this morning and finished with 3 mallards. Didn’t see near the number of birds we saw last weekend when we hunted on a cloudy/misting day.

Of course as usual, once we left and had walked about 200 yards away a group of about 8 geese flew over our blind and landed in the field we were hunting.
