With regards to EV's, the link below is to a YouTube channel that this guy in Australia has. He has a good number of "EV realist" videos where he points out the problems with so many different EV's, including buses that some cities around the world have bought for their public transportation.

In all honesty, I think Ford is merely scaling back on how many EV's they will build. So far as I know, there are still Ford Lightnings and the EV Mustang in their lineup.

Well, with regards to such politicians (think government people here), AOC and Biden are BOTH pushing for ending fossil fuels and going alternatives, which at the present time is simply EV's. Biden's Energy Secretary is also pushing, and that is where the power lies in actually creating a mandate.
