So my dad just scored some 5.56 ammo, and I don't know what we've got. We both plan on shooting this in our ARs, but wanted to make sure it was decent ammo.
These are in 50rd sealed boxes and each box doesn't say anything other than this (on the top only):
On the back of the rounds, they have a "C" and then a "J" and then a 93.
---------------------------------------------
Next, he's got some 5.56 in 10rd stripper clips (that are two to a cardboard sleeve and all of these are in an OD bandoleer marked:
No markings on the cardboard sleeves and the back of the brass is marked with a "PS" and an "8008" and a "5.56". The brass is discolored from the bullet-end to about 1/4" below the neck (Its almost white). There's red around the primer of every round.
I assume this stuff is Lake City M193, but I didn't know if the bandoleer was what originally came with this ammo or not.
