What made this?

I hate to start a new thread that will last all of 4 posts probably. But what made this? I went out to my deer spot today and there were these tracks under about 5 different trees. My first thought was armadillo pushing through, but it almost looks like it could be a pig root too. I'm too new to all this that to really say definitely on anything.

Are acorns dropping from those trees? Kind of hard to tell from the pics, but most pig rootings the soil looks like it's been roto-tilled. I'd say that is an armadillo.

That was my assumption that it was acorns. I didn't see any (but didn't look real close). I sat early morning today and heard acorns dropping around me though so I'd assume it was acorns the animal was after. I just found it interesting that it was only under about 5 trees, and I didn't see any real path too or from either tree... just the mess under them.
