Briefly, the Head of Immunization and Respiratory Diseases spoke. She pretty much said to calm down.
80% of COVID infectees don't notice anything but bad cold symptoms.
Kids don't seem to catch it, only 2% of victims are under 19.
All deaths have occured to people already weakened by underlying problems; diabetes, heart disease, etc.
My comments:
Now, compare to regular influenza : 18,000 people in the US have died from influenza this season.
32 million people in the US had to have additional medical treatment for influenza 10% of the population).
Covid is a new virus, there is no immunity to it in the population. The media seem to be blowing this our of proportion, perhaps due to political motivations.
