Whats a good bore light? My new one...

made by Hoppes lasted 3 times and bit the dust...Batteries new, bulb new...Took it back to Academy and they gave me my money back but I'm out a bore light...Any suggestions?

www.sinclairintl.com sells a battery powered bore light that is the most useful and ergonomic unit I've ever used. Also www.bluepress.com sells a fiber optic "Barrel-Lite" with a swelled end that is the best of it's type that I've ever used.HTH.

Why do you need a bore light? Just stick a piece of paper in an open action. You'll be surprised how well it lights up!

I use one made to slip over the end of ae mini-maglight type flashlight that has a fiberoptic coming off the end of it. cheap and simple and meets my needs.

I've got a Streamlight one that has (I believe) an 18" flex neck on it. Just a single bulb led, I think it runs off of two AAA's

I've tried that, but it doesn't work very well for me when looking down the bore of a long rifle like a Swedish M96. Nice to have a light to illuminate the length of the bore
