Dunno if you can find them anymore, but Baretta made a PX4 that is SA, its the type C variant (c for constant action). Basically the hammer rests in a half cocked position after you chamber a round. There is no decocker or safety lever on it. However the hammer is spurless and can only be pulled back by the slide. Not sure if this is quite your cup of tea, but figured it would be something different than a sig for you to look into.

To each his own... but I really prefer DA or SA/DA for carry.

Both for misfire protection (multiple strike capability), and the safety factor of carrying one in the chamber without the need for an additional safety button/lever/etc.

I did a little research on CZ-USA website and found two in the 75 series that are SA only and meet your other criteria, but doesn't look like either of them has rails. I found a post on the CZ Custom forum that says you can convert the DA/SA models to SA only. They are both pricey.

I'll try to check some of the other series later, but my gut feeling is the 75's are the most likely option

Sounds like maybe a Sig of some flavor...maybe I can be talked out of buying a railed 9mm 1911?

RDIH makes an add-on rail for the Hi Power. You can get them from BH Spring Solutions. Stick with the H-P.

So apparently the P226 rail is a sig proprietary one, not a standard picatinny/1913 rail?

According to the Sig website the only P226 with a M1913 rail is the MK 25.

No MK25 SAO version!

Years ago, got a great deal on a California MK25 -- had a funky Loaded chamber indicator above and to the rear of the breach face. It also had a magazine disconnect. It didn't have the original 10 round magazines, aftermarket 15 rounders. I didn't own it very long!
