0331 with B/1/5 Weapons during OIF 1 and part of OIF 2
Like eggs, will post a little about 1/5, got to be the first full unit to cross into Iraq when we crossed the border nine hours prior to the war actually beginning. At the time it pissed everyone off since the rest of the military got nine extra hours of sleep than us, but now that time has passed has been something cool to look back upon. The last thing, our Chaplain was a nephew of Johnny Cash and went on to write a book about our deplyment with a religious twist. Was titled "A Table in the Presense" by Chaplain Carey Cash, great book if you have not read it. I read it once or twice a year.
