Which 40 cal pistol is best?

I really like the XD subcompact (any XD really) and I was really looking to buy one, then I held a SIG. For me personally, the SIG feels better. They're both extremely reliable, but like everyone has already said,

GET WHAT FEELS BEST!


If you ever have to defend you and your loved ones, you want the gun to feel natural in your hand. All brands stated above go bang, so no worries there.

XD40SC for me.

Sig, HK, Kahr, Glock, etc. My HK USPc .40 is great but I'm thinking about getting a smaller carry gun (a Kahr K40 if I can find one cheap enough). The "compact" Sigs, HKs, and Glocks are not really that compact, hence me getting a smaller one.

I am considering getting a 40 cal for CC. I am interested in your thoughts of which 40 cal, semi-auto would be the best and why. I understand some of the pistols characteristic may be a personal preference, but I solicit all inputs. Thanks for your comments.

Glock makes a good gun, but the ones they make in .40 S&W are their problem children.

Really?? this is the FIRST time I've ever heard this, EVER.. Perhaps you're referring to the g36 which is minimal at best..
