Which rifle for Alaska?

i agree the 375 H&H and the 500 S&W. even though i have never been to Alaska, i have lived in Wyoming and came across several Grizz's they are huge animals you want as much power as possible.

Not really into hunting much anymore, but if I had to go there I would look at the weather first, a very wet and cold environment, so something in stainless steel, or get my 700DXLH 30-06 refinished in something like NP3. As for everyday packing, my model 66-2 2.5", and my Marlin 1894 loaded heavy. 12Ga in the house loaded with slugs.

You dont need a gun for polar bears. Just start releasing mass amounts of CFCs and feed all the cattle beans. Polar Bears hate Global Warming!

I'm not too sure I would want to do that.
