I'll never buy tickets in advance again, got burned on some drag racing tickets at the Texas motorplex one time, we drove all the way down there and it started raining so they cancelled it that day, no refunds! Just out 60 bucks and the long drive.

In spring of 2019 (like April or May), my son was selected to go on a class field trip in summer of 2020 between 8th & 9th grade to Washington D.C, Boston and some other cities around the area. They had an entire year to fund raise or for parents to make payments. I paid in full up front for both my son and my wife to go at the discounted price of about $4500. The trip was postponed until summer of 2021, then postponed again until mid October. So it's going to be around 2.5 years waiting.
