"We as consumers need protection"
"capitalize on peoples' desperation"
"you can't throw total responsibility on the buyer"
You'd think this was a fair trade coffee forum or something.
As long as the item(s) are honestly represented the seller asks a price, It is 100% up to the potential customer to buy or not buy. Totally optional.
Cut that man-bun off, throw away your Patchouli and tell your boyfriend you're not spending another dime on cat food. From now on you're going to be responsible for your own care and safety and will be buying ammo and other potentially life-saving items before an emergency strikes. Be gentle, but tell him you have to spend a bit more now, because you FAILED to buy when prices were low - I mean ammo versus the newest version of that video game, - ammo is kind of boring unless you're actually using it. Explain to him in the simplest of terms how you should have learned from all the recent ammo scares, but that you just weren't disciplined enough to buy a box of 5.56 instead of those lattes. (I know with pumpkin spice season, coming up this is going to be really tough)
Maybe we need Affirmative Action pricing?
